Study on Present Situation and Development Trend of Ontology Construction Tools

Abstract

Abstract: Ontology construction is a hotspot of research in semantic Web. There are many ontology construction tools produced by various organizations. Based on an all around investigation of the existing ontology construction tools, an analysis and comparison of seven ontology construction tools is given, and the differences of some essential characteristics are pointed out. At the end, the summary of the existing bottleneck problem in present situation is given, and the future research direction is suggested.
